Night by: Elie Wiesel
Elie: A young boy who got taken away from his mother and sisters and he only had his father. This was during the holocaust. He went through a lot and he was very strong. He made it through cold nights and lack of food. He also made it through when his father died. He survived but the experience that he went through. He saw the most scariest of things to deaths of people he knew to the death of his father. Even though he could not read the mind of others he could see that what he felt others could feel the same. From Elie we get a first hand perspective of what it was like to be in the holocaust.
Moshe: He would teach Elie the Jewish prayers. He lived on the streets and he was old. He was taken and put into the concentration camp. He was released after about a year and he would tell people who would pass about what to expect of the camps and people just thought that he was just another crazy bum on the streets. Later on the rest of the Jews found out that what he had said about the camp was no lie. They wish they had listened to him so they would have prepared.
Animal Farm by: George Orwell
Mr.Jones: He is a farmer who owns Manor Farm. He takes care of his animals and he uses the animals milk, eggs and more to make money. He came home drunk one day and he didn't feed the animals and they had a riot. As soon as the riot was over the animals won the farm and Mr.Jones and his wife moved away from the farm. He then decided that he was going to start a war against the animals to win the farm back. He and his men failed and the animals won again.
Napolean: He is a pig who thinks he is better than everyone. He rules over the other animals. He cares about education but he sees that the other animals don't learn so he says that if other animals can't learn then at least younger animals should get an education. He took puppies from one of the animals and he is going to be responsible for their education. He created the Seven Commandment for the farm and they are to follow those rules in order to stay in the farm. He explained to the animals about animalism. Napoleon took over the farm when Snowball was taken out of ruling.
